BYD posts 80% net profit increase in 2023
Chinese automaker and battery giant BYD posted a record net profit in 2023 at CNY 30 billion ($4.2 billion), after an 80.72% increase year-on-year, Kallanish reports.
The results released on 26 March show revenues reached CNY 602 billion, up 42%. The company said that most of this (over 80%) was contributed by its automotive and battery business. That income rose around 49% to CNY 483 billion.
