Chinese company invests $140m in US separator factory

Green New Energy Materials (GNEM) has announced a $140 million investment to build a lithium-ion battery separator manufacturing facility in Denver, North Carolina.  Established in 2023, the Chinese company specialises in R&D, manufacturing, and sales of battery components for the lithium-ion battery industry.
