Chubu Steel to commission new EAF in 2024
Japanese steelmaker Chubu Steel Plate saw sales and profits decline in fiscal 2023, which ended on 31 March 2024, due to electric arc furnace overhauls in the second quarter. The steel plant plans to complete the construction of a new EAF in autumn 2024, Kallanish notes.
