New CARES audit requirements target transparency, quality
The new CARES audit requirements, which will come into force globally on 1 January 2025, are designed to bring confidence and transparency to the rebar production process. They require all approved rolling mills to purchase billet for CARES-certified products from suppliers with a valid CARES quality management system certification that includes the production of continuously cast billet.
