Northern European rod market stable, no increases expected
Northern European wire rod prices are flat again this week amid low demand, sources say. Participants are doubtful over the possibility of increases in the coming weeks.
“The market is again very quiet and purchased volumes are at very low levels,” one buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish.
Domestic transaction prices for drawing-quality wire rod are at €650/tonne ($697/t) ex-works and mesh-grade wire rod is at €620/t.
