VSSL approves billet capacity addition investment
Indian specialty steelmaker Vardhman Specialty Steel (VSSL)’s board of directors has approved capital expenditure of INR 330 million ($3.95m) to increase steel melting shop capacity, notes Kallanish.
According to VSSL’s exchange filing, this investment will help increase its billet production capacity by 25,000 tonnes/year. The additional capacity will be completed by March 2026. VSSL plans to use its internal accruals to help fund the expansion.
