2022 global EV battery usage reaches 517.9 GWh
Throughout 2022, the amount of energy held by batteries for electric vehicles (including battery EVs, plug-in hybrid EVs, and hybrid EVs) registered worldwide was 517.9 gigawatt-hours, an on-year increase of about 71.8%, according to SNE Research.
SNE Research expects that global EV battery usage will reach approximately 749 GWh in 2023 with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 54% from 2017-2022.
