In 2025, Airbus will start testing a new hydrogen fuel cell engine it is building for its ZEROe zero-emission plane, which is expected to fly by 2035. If the tests are successful, the engine could be installed in a 100-passenger plane with a range of around 1,000 miles, Airbus says.
