Anglo American’s copper output could rise 40% this year

Anglo American said on Thursday its production copper could increase up to 40% in 2023, subject to water availability in Chile and socio-political stability in Peru, Kallanish reports. The London-based mining company reported a 3% increase in its copper production last year to 664,000 tonnes. The expectation is that its copper mines will produce 840,000-930,000 t in 2023 – of which will be 530,000-580,000 t in Chile and 310,000-350,000 t in Peru. The …
