BMW says tests prove reliability, power of fuel cell model
German carmaker BMW says its fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV), BMW iX5 Hydrogen, is proving to be a reliable and powerful car even under extreme weather conditions.
The prototype is undergoing its final winter testing in northern Sweden, close to the Arctic Circle. The programme seeks to test and validate the fuel cell system, hydrogen tanks, peak power battery and central vehicle control unit, Kallanish notes.
