January refined nickel exports in Brazil grow, ore weakens
Brazilian nickel exports sharply rose in January both monthly and annually, according to the country’s National Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic).
Data monitored by Kallanish shows that refined nickel exports were 242.7% higher m-o-m and up by 8.7% y-o-y in January at 122,000 tonnes. This volume was the highest since June 2022, when the country shipped abroad almost 160,000 t of material.
