China’s CRRC launches H2-powered city train in Chengdu
Chinese state-owned manufacturer CRRC Corporation confirmed on Monday the assembly of a semi-high-speed hydrogen-powered urban train, Kallanish reports.
The train, developed jointly by CCRC Changchun Railway Co and Chengdu Rail Transit, rolled off the assembly line in Chengdu, Sichuan province, last week. Described as a “world’s first,” the fuel cell passenger train can deliver around 600 kilometres of range and reach a top speed of 160 km/hour. …
