Codelco eyes 2030 start for Maricunga lithium project

Chilean state-owned copper company Codelco is reportedly eyeing the start of lithium production at its Maricunga asset in 2030. According to Reuters, the miner hired Rothschild & Co in April as financial advisor to select a partner to develop the project in Maricunga, one of Chile’s top salt flats.
