COPPER: EPA extends comment period on stalled Pebble mine in Alaska

The US Environmental Protection Agency is extending the public comment on its plan to permanently block a proposed copper mine in southwest Alaska in order to protect Bristol Bay and its $2.2 billion salmon fishery, Kallanish reports.
