Equinor to buy US battery storage developer
Norwegian energy company Equinor said Tuesday it will buy US-based battery storage developer East Point Energy, gaining access to 4.1 gigawatts of planned capacity, Kallanish reports.
The undisclosed transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of the year. It follows the 2021 acquisition of UK-based battery storage company Norilker Power.
