Global hydrogen demand could reach 115 million tonnes by 2030, up from 91m t in 2021, following a rapid rise in new applications and growing technology momentum, the IEA said Thursday.
In a new report, the Paris-based agency estimated demand could rise further to 130m t if governments fully deliver on their current climate pledges. Low-emission hydrogen would account for over 25% of that volume, Kallanish understands.
