GRAPHITE: Northern Graphite buys graphite mines from Imerys Group
Canada-based Northern Graphite is spending $55 million to acquire the producing Lac des Iles graphite mine and mill in Quebec and the idled Okanjande graphite project/Okorusu processing plant in Namibia, Kallanish reports.
To fund its plan, Northern Graphite is conducting a private placement in the amount of $40m in debt/royalty/stream financing with Sprott Capital Partners and an equity offering that will raise an additional $15m, it says.
