Harmony Energy, FRV start construction of UK’s largest BESS
Harmony Energy and Fotowatio Renewables Ventures (FRV) have started construction of the UK’s largest battery storage development project, in Essex, Kallanish reports.
The companies expect the Clay Tye battery energy storage system (BESS) to be operational in the first quarter of next year. It will provide 99 megawatts/198 megawatt-hours of storage capacity to the national grid.
