Hydrogen-powered aircraft to lead easyJet decarbonisation
European low-cost airline easyJet revealed on Monday its decarbonisation roadmap through 2050, relying mostly on hydrogen to achieve net-zero flights, Kallanish reports.
The company plans to cut 78% of CO2 emissions by 2050, compared to 2019 levels, using zero-emission technology provided by companies such as Rolls-Royce and Airbus. Residual emissions will be addressed with carbon removal technology.
