Li-Cycle opens lithium-ion battery recycling plant in Alabama
Li-Cycle Corp says its Alabama Spoke has started commercial operations to recycle lithium-ion batteries in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Kallanish reports.
The Alabama Spoke is strategically located to support recycling in the southeast US, where battery makers and auto companies have been expanding operations, the company says. It says the Alabama facility can process 10,000 tonnes/year of lithium-ion batteries.
