Mercedes-Benz said Friday it’s the first carmaker in the world to bring SAE Level 3 conditionally automated driving to the US, Kallanish reports.
The company’s DRIVE PILOT system was certified in Nevada, opening the door for first customer deliveries in the second half of the year. The model year 2024 of the S-Class and EQS Sedan models will feature the function that enables automated driving over certain conditions.
