Nickel Asia net income rises on higher nickel prices
Philippines nickel producer Nickel Asia announces that its attributable net income for the nine-month period rose 12% to P6.90 billion ($120.5 million) from P6.17 billion reported during the same period last year, Kallanish notes.
Despite the lower ore sales volume sold during the period, revenues rose by 2% to P21.51 billion from P21.03 billion last year, owed largely to higher nickel ore prices and favourable exchange rates.
