NICKEL, COPPER: Nornickel gives update on sulphur programme at Norilsk
Russian miner Nornickel is continuing deliveries of large-size equipment as part of its Sulphur Programme in Norilsk. The construction of new facilities under the programme is the company’s biggest effort to improve its evironmental performance.
The programme, worth a total of over RUB 300 billion ($4 billion,) envisages the launch of emission-capturing units at Nadezhda and Copper plants, Kallanish notes.
