Nornickel begins additional exploration of its mines
Russian miner Nornickel is expanding its drilling service and its geologists have already begun additional exploration of the flank reserves of the Mayak mine, the company says.
Additional exploration work at Mayak will last at least until the end of August, with a total of about 30,000 meters to be drilled at a maximum well depth of 300 m. One of the drilling rigs has already managed to open a vein of rich iron ore with a thickness of 3 m near Mount Otdelnay…
