Northvolt to build 100 GWh cathode plant in former paper mill
Swedish battery manufacturer Northvolt said Friday it will build a new 100-gigawatt-hour cathode material plant in Sweden to supply its manufacturing network, Kallanish reports.
The plan is for Northvolt to convert a former paper mill in Borlänge, which closed last year, into the new plant. It will reuse and refurbish much of the existing facilities and site infrastructure, running the plant with 100% renewable power.
