RARE EARTH: Energy Fuels seeking monazite sands from around the world
Colorado-based Energy Fuels says it produced 270 tonnes of mixed rare earth carbonate in 2021, as it began ramping up its REE recovery infrastructure, Kallanish reports.
That carbonate contained 120 t of total RE oxides. The company says it is in active discussions with several sources of natural monazite sands around the world to increase the supply of feed material for its growing REE efforts in the United States.
