Russia’s nickel exports increase to Europe: Eurostat
Russian exports of raw nickel to the EU countries in September amounted to 5,012 tonnes, 36% more than in the previous month but 5% less on-year, according to Eurostat data.
In January-September, the EU imported 48,303 t of nickel from Russia, up by 17% on-year, Kallanish notes. In monetary terms, imports increased by 72%.
According to Eurostat, the main volume of raw nickel supplies from Russia in 2022 was sent to the Netherlands and Germany.
