Samsung, Stellantis to build joint Indiana EV battery plant
Samsung and Stellantis plan to open a new joint EV battery manufacturing plant in Indiana, Kallanish learns from Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb.
The governor confirmed in a press conference that the facility - projected to cost $2.5-3.1 billion - will be built in Kokomo, Indiana. In an accompanying press release, Stellantis said the facility will begin operation in 2025 with 23 gigawatt-hours of capacity, rising over the next several years to 33 GWh.
