SoCalGas to produce hydrogen from renewable natural gas for California bus fleet
Southern California Gas has broken ground on construction for a first-of-its-kind advanced hydrogen generation system to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in southern California, Kallanish reports.
The demonstration project is located at the SunLine Transit Agency in Thousand Palms, California. The project, called H2 SilverSTARS, will produce hydrogen from renewable natural gas and help fuel the SunLine fleet of 17 hydrogen fuel cell electric buses.
