Stellantis confirms €130m BEV boost to Opel’s Eisenach plant
European carmaker Stellantis will invest €130 million ($140.2m) to future-proof the Eisenach assembly plant in Thuringia, Germany, run by its local brand Opel, Kallanish reports.
The investment will cover a new BEV production line at the plant on the STLA Medium platform to produce a successor of the Opel Grandland SUV. The all-electric variant is expected in the second half of 2024, Stellantis says in a statement on Wednesday.
