Tenaris Dalmine pipe mill to use H2 as a fuel
Italy-based pipemaker Tenaris Dalmine is investing in new equipment that uses 100% hydrogen as a fuel at its seamless tube mill in Dalmine, northern Italy.
Besides a new melt shop ladle furnace, the company ordered from engineering firm Tenova a heat treatment furnace equipped with 34 hydrogen-ready self-recuperative burners. The new machinery will be operative by the end of the first half of this year, Kallanish notes.
