Toyota to partner with VDL on heavy-duty hydrogen trucks in Europe
Toyota Motor Europe is collaborating with Dutch company VDL Groep to deploy heavy-duty hydrogen fuel cell trucks in Europe, Kallanish reports.
The two companies plan to introduce the first hydrogen truck with a retrofitted fuel cell module from Toyota in the summer 2023. That will be followed by additional vehicles to prove the suitability of hydrogen fuel cell trucks on Toyota logistics routes in Europe, starting in the autumn of 2023.
