Ucore Rare Metals wins $4m grant from US Department of Defense
The US Department of Defense is providing $4 million to Ucore Rare Earth Metals to trial its rare earth element separation technology at a demonstration facility in Ontario, Kallanish reports.
The company, with headquarters in Nova Scotia, says it anticipates qualifying for a follow-up production award from the US Army Contracting Command-Orlando, as it develops a REE separation plant in Louisiana.
