US opens applications for new $2.5 billion EV charging funding
The US government has opened the first round of funding under the recently announced $2.5 billion program to fund EV charging and alternative-fuelling infrastructure across the country.
The initial round will make available $700 million to applicants including cities, countries, local governments and tribes it all states, Puerto Rico and DC. Applications are due by 30 May, Kallanish learns from the US Department of Transportation.
