US opens applications for new $2.5 billion EV charging funding

The US government has opened the first round of funding under the recently announced $2.5 billion program to fund EV charging and alternative-fuelling infrastructure across the country. The initial round will make available $700 million to applicants including cities, countries, local governments and tribes it all states, Puerto Rico and DC.
