USW supports Tesla-Talon nickel deal
The United Steelworkers union is lauding the announcement of Talon Metals’ six-year supply agreement with Tesla to provide nickel from its Tamarack project in Minnesota.
Tesla has agreed to purchase 75,000 tonnes of nickel concentrate from Talon Nickel over the length of the agreement in a deal that could be worth as much as $1.5 billion. Talon must begin commercial operations at the mine before 1 January, 2026.
