Vale, Huayou to expand Indonesian nickel resource joint development
Mining and trade company PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (Vale Indonesia) and Shanghai-listed manufacturer Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt (Huayou) have signed a cooperation framework agreement. They plan to jointly develop a smelter with high-pressure acid leaching (HPAL) technology for limonite nickel ore in Vale Indonesia's Sorowako Mine, Luwu Timur, Sulawesi, Indonesia.
