Vianode takes FID on graphite materials plant in Norway

Norway’s Vianode announced Wednesday a final investment decision (FID) on Phase 1 of its inaugural industrial-scale production plant at Herøya, Norway, Kallanish reports. Company owners Elkem, Hydro, and Altor greenlighted the NOK 2 billion ($194.27 million) investment, which will kickstart anode graphite production for roughly 20,000 EVs per year by 2024. Plant construction will be carried out in parallel with preparations for a second phase plant sā€¦
