Aichi Steel to raise capacity by upgrading EAF
Japanese steel producer Aichi Steel aims to increase its capacity by upgrading its stainless steelmaking process.
The steel plant will be systematically upgraded in three steps, from upstream steelmaking to the downstream pickling process. In the first step of the renovation, Aichi Steel will invest JPY 1 billion ($7.61 billion) to update its No.1 50-tonne electric arc furnace.
