Argentina’s April steel industry performance improves
The Argentinian steel industry saw its performance improve in April. The sector grew its crude steel production both sequentially and year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
According to national steel association Cámara Argentina de Acero (CAA), Argentinian crude steel output totalled 429,800 tonnes in April, up 4.1% or 7,100t on-month. This volume was also 21.3% more on-year. Four-month output reached 1.64 million tonnes, a growth of 13.8% on-year.
