Baosteel Desheng receives steelmaking upgrade approvals
Baowu Group's Baosteel Desheng Stainless Steel has received approvals for its environmental and energy consumption plans for its steelmaking facilities upgrade project, paving the way for construction, Kallanish notes.
The upgrade project is expected to be completed by December 2024 and will include three 110-tonne AOD furnaces and a 120t one (see Kallanish passim). They will provide a combined steel capacity of 3.06 million tonnes/year.
