Baotou steel exports surge in first quarter 2018
Inner Mongolia’s Baotou Iron & Steel reports 503,000 tonnes of steel products export in Q1 2018, up by 25.67% from 2017, according to the provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.
Baotou reveals that the new explored markets drove the export increase, it sent 86,400t of HRC and 42,900t of pipeline steel to Saudi Arabic alone over January to March, Kallanish notes.
