Benelux scrap falls further after Turkey price slump
Scrap prices, which were already on a downward trend, decreased sharply on Monday after a Turkish mill’s scrap booking from the US at $596/tonne cfr Turkey for shredded and bonus grades.
Although the Turkish market was expecting prices to fall below $600/t cfr, the low value of this US-origin shredded and bonus deal has surprised market players in Turkey.
