Benelux scrap follows Turkey’s sharp price increases
Scrap prices in the Benelux have increased sharply last week following the steady rises in Turkish imported scrap prices.
HMS 1&2 80:20 dock prices which stood at €305-315/t ($353-364/t) a week ago appear mostly at €325/t delivered on Monday, while €330/t is also available from some exporters. However, even at €325-330/t, the flow seems to be quite low as suppliers are seen aiming for higher prices.
