Benelux scrap price falls sharply on weak sentiment
Scrap prices in the Benelux fell sharply from last week due to poor sentiment and falling prices in the major export destinations.
On Monday, exporters’ dock prices stood mostly at €285-295/tonne ($318-322.5/t) delivered. These are down from €320-35/t on Monday last week. Consequently, dock prices have fallen by €50/t in the Benelux in a two-week period.
