Benelux scrap price softens amid weak demand
Scrap prices in the Benelux are showing signs of softening since the end of last week. This is mostly the result of the inactive Turkish market amid the Eid holiday and worsening sentiment in the global market due to the sharp falls seen in China last week.
Although dock prices in the Benelux have reached €340-345/tonne ($345.73-350.81/t) levels during the first half of last week, they are standing mostly at €320-325/t delivered levels on Monday.
