Benelux scrap falls sharply again amid weak sentiment
Scrap prices in the Benelux fell by more than €60/tonne ($63) last week due to the bearish sentiment in the global market and lack of activity in Turkey.
Benelux exporters’ dock prices for HMS 80:20 fell to €230-250/t ($241.5-262.5) delivered levels on Monday. Some exporters are seen even trying to source at below €220/t, though flow is absent at these levels. This is down from €290-300/t at the beginning of last week.
