UAE, Oman billet prices come under pressure
Integrated mills in Oman and Saudi Arabia are unable to conclude rebar deals in the Singapore and Hong Kong markets, as Indonesian and Malaysian mills' delivered rebar prices are lower than Gulf Cooperation Council mills’ cfr quotes. Consequently, the latter mills have lowered their billet asking prices to attract interest for this product instead, Kallanish notes.
