Brazil’s ArcelorMittal Pecém boosts April slab exports
Brazil's ArcelorMittal Pecém (AMP) saw slab exports recover on-month in April, Kallanish notes. Shipments were however weaker compared to the same month in 2022.
According to data issued by the local port authority, AMP’s April shipments abroad reached 286,925 tonnes, up 52.5% or 98,918t more on-month at 286,925t. This volume, however, was down 4.7% versus the 301,097t shipped a year earlier.
