Brazil’s December steel bar exports reach 36-month high
Brazilian bar exports grew sequentially in December, according to Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data. Imports meanwhile decreased, Kallanish notes. The data includes iron and steel bars, along with angles, profiles and sections.
Brazilian bar shipments abroad totalled 116,000 tonnes in the month, up by 16% month-on-month and also 14.3% more versus the same month last year. The export value of these was $107 million.…
