Brazil’s iron ore exports drop in October
Brazil saw iron ore exports sharply down in October after rising for five consecutive months, Kallanish notes.
According to the latest Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data, shipments abroad of iron ore were 28.6 million tonnes in October, a fall of 20.8% over September and also 12.9% on-year. This volume was the lowest shipped abroad by the country since May, when loadings reached 25.4mt.
